Preparing boys and girls for their lives ahead.
Each Den is a grade level K thru 5th grade. The "Pack" is all the Dens put together.
Our Pack meetings are once a month and are typically the third Tuesday of each month from August thru May of the school year, at Liberty Elementary, in the Plainfield School District, at 1401 Essington Rd., Bolingbrook.
Cub Scouts is a family-based organization. Parents are encouraged to stay for the Pack meetings to share in your Scouts experience and to hear announcements/details for upcoming events. We try to make the Meetings fun for the Scouts and Parents. Pack Nights are for the entire family. Siblings are welcome as well.
- The purposes of Cub Scouting are: (besides Fun!)
- Character Development
- Good Citizenship
- Sportsmanship and Fitness
- Respectful Relationships
- Personal Achievement
- Fun and Adventure
- Preparation for Boy Scouts
- Funds: We have modest annual dues/fees. Your annual dues cover the annual registration fees with Boy Scouts of America and include achievement awards, advancement awards, and the year's Pack meeting programs.
- Camping: Typically each year there is a Family Camp, a Spring Day Camp (no overnight stays at this camp), Summer Resident Camp and usually one overnight stay at a location such as a museum. These events are paid for by each family as they are scheduled. Each camp is age-appropriate, affordable, and is filled with fun activities.
Each Pack meeting is something new and fun! There are annual events such as the Pinewood Derby, Raingutter Regatta, and the Blue & Gold Banquet. The Scouts will also be involved in community service projects to reinforce the value of being a responsible citizen.
